I'm an award-winning English film director, screenwriter and producer, based in London.
For many years I was a mainstay of the film scene in my home county of Norfolk, picking up awards across the country for my childhood stop-motion animations and short films. Directing from a very young age, I developed experience and craftsmanship beyond my years, paying particular attention to memorable visual storytelling.
Since moving to London to study BA Film Practice at University of The Arts London in 2015, my short films God Save The King (2016) and The Hunter (2017) have drawn attention critically and on the festival circuit, including multiple finalist and semi-finalist selections, nominations for Best Director and Best Cinematography, and a Special Achievement Award.
2018's Paul Is Dead is a short comedy-drama inspired by the classic Beatles urban myth of the same name. The film is set to premiere online and at film festivals in 2018.
I am currently in development and fundraising on my debut feature, Ragged - a loose adaptation of the 1914 novel The Ragged Trousered Philanthropists, following a motley crew of disenfranchised painter-decorators struggling against murderous working conditions and cutthroat bosses. Following in the footsteps of the beloved novel, the film concerns the pressures that survival forces on personal integrity in a society that values capital over humanity. To find out more, please visit the Ragged site.
Alongside Ragged, I am also developing two further projects - a comedy serial for TV and a new short film.
I am available for fiction shorts / features / television, music videos and promos, and am always happy to discuss projects, ideas and commissions, so please get in touch!
